General activity
During these online activities, students will review a video about the MCC Program and then research the media communications job market and make a video explaining their findings and introducing themselves to their cohort. To accomplish this activity, students will watch the provided video, conduct their own research using the provided resources, and create a video with their preferred video creation tool. They will also use the video to briefly introduce themselves to their cohort and experiment with web-based video creation tools. The first task is an orientation that should help you quickly understand how the MCCert program will be organized. Carefully watch the video linked in the bulleted list above. After reviewing the video, write a short paragraph (200-250 words): Explain the MCCert program track, Describe what you hope to gain from your experience with the courses, Be sure to mention each course by name and/or course code, In your own words, explain how the MCCert program uses the terms "professional deadline" and the "hard deadline." It is always best to write your written assignments in a word processing program (like Word) so that you can edit and then save your work more permanently. Word processing apps also help you catch spelling and editing errors.
