During this assignment, students will understand media creation and messaging by selecting a hypothetical client, submitting 2-3 sentence explanation of the message and research sources to support. In addition, the student will create a media asset for their chosen client. To accomplish this activity, students will use Students will use a variety of Web 2.0 tools. As a result of this learning activity, students will understand the creation of media assets for a marketing campaign requires client research and an understanding of how the assets are to be used. Working with this simulated campaign will offer insight into the media creation branch of media communications as well as offering a scenario in which to develop the soft skills that are used in collaborative projects.
