During these online activities, students will create press kits for one of several provided hypothetical newsworthy situations, inclusion a press release, backgrounder, and related media asset. To accomplish this activity, students will research the client, create the documents, create the media and package the material as a press kit. As a result of this students will learn the media creation process involved in building a press release, backgrounder, and video clip or sound bite.
